Services & Rates

I provide individual therapy to adults age 18+ and seniors. All sessions last approximately 45-60 minutes unless otherwise discussed in advance. Frequency of appointments is always discussed during your first session, with factors such as presenting issue(s) and availability being taken into concern. I do not conduct couples/marriage counseling sessions and I do not see individuals under the age of 18, however, I am well-equipped with a network of trusted providers and happy to provide referrals upon request. Sessions can be held in person at my office or virtually if you are located in the state of Maryland.

It's completely normal to feel a little nervous before your first therapy session. If it helps, arrive a little bit early, help yourself to complimentary coffee, tea, or water at the drink bar, and take a seat in the waiting room. Your first session with me will include a collaborative review of your completed intake forms as well as a discussion about what you would like to get out of coming to therapy. During this time, don't hesitate to ask any questions that you may have.

I am always willing to speak with you prior to scheduling your initial appointment to ease any apprehension you might have about starting therapy or answer any additional questions. Reaching out is the first, courageous step toward a healthier tomorrow.

Insurance & Self-Pay

  • Accepted Insurance Plans: All CareFirst/BlueCross BlueShield plans (excluding Tricare).
*Please scroll down for out-of-network/self-pay options.

Documentation will be submitted to your insurance company at no additional cost. Most insurance plans have a deductible and/or session co-payment that is your responsibility. You will also be responsible for any fees not covered, not paid or denied by your insurance company. Please contact your insurance company to determine your benefits and authorization requirements. It is ultimately your responsibility to know your coverage and resolve any non-payment issues directly with your insurance company. Please note that benefits are an agreement between you and your insurance company.  I cannot personally guarantee any insurance coverage or reimbursement.

    >>Call the member services phone number on your insurance card and ask the following questions prior to being seen for the first time: Do I have mental health insurance benefits? • Do I have out of network benefits? • What is my deductible and has it been met? • How many therapy sessions per year does my health insurance cover? • What is the coverage amount per therapy session? • Is pre-approval required from my primary care physician?

  • Self-Pay/Out-of-Network Rate: $125 per session

If you are not insured with CareFirst/BlueCross or prefer not to use your health insurance for therapy, I do offer a self-pay rate of $125 per session. In the event that you do pay out of pocket, your insurance company may provide you with reimbursement. If requested, I am happy to provide you with the appropriate receipt that you can submit to your insurance company in order to seek reimbursement. Full payment for self-pay sessions is required at the time that services are provided via check, cash, credit/debit card, or health savings account card. Please scroll below and read about the Good Faith Estimate and No Surprises Act if you are uninsured, considering self-pay, or choose not to use your existing insurance benefits.

  • Cancellation and No-Show Policy

All appointments must be cancelled within 24 hours notice. If you do not show up for an appointment and/or do not cancel within 24 hours, you will be automatically charged $85 to the credit card you are required to leave on file. If appointments are chronically missed or routinely cancelled late, you may be subject to discharge. Insurance benefits do not cover or reimburse late cancel/no-show charges.

  • Good Faith Estimate and No Surprises Act
The No Surprises Act was enacted in 2022 with the goal of protecting clients from unexpected bills for healthcare services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) explaining approximately how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, therapists need to provide a GFE to clients who are uninsured or to clients who are choosing not to use their insurance coverage. You will receive a GFE in writing at least one business day before your first appointment. A copy of the GFE will be auto-saved in your electronic medical file on your secure Client Portal and you may also choose to save a copy of it for your own personal records. For more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate visit No Surprises Act 2022 or call 1-800-985-3059.

All clients regardless of payer source are required to leave an active credit card on file prior to being seen for your initial visit.
It is also your responsibility to update the credit card as necessary.

You may preview financial and practice policy documents via a downloadable link on the Forms page.
